模數(shù)轉(zhuǎn)換器(A/D轉(zhuǎn)換器),簡(jiǎn)稱ADC,通常情況下是一種將模擬信號(hào)轉(zhuǎn)換成數(shù)字信號(hào)的電子元器件。由于數(shù)字信號(hào)本質(zhì)上沒有實(shí)際意義,它只表述一個(gè)相對(duì)性大小。為此,任何的模擬數(shù)字轉(zhuǎn)換器都需要一個(gè)參照模擬用作轉(zhuǎn)換標(biāo)準(zhǔn)規(guī)定,更普遍的參照標(biāo)準(zhǔn)規(guī)定是最大可轉(zhuǎn)換信號(hào)大小。輸出數(shù)字量表述輸入信號(hào)相對(duì)性于參照信號(hào)的大小。
模數(shù)轉(zhuǎn)換器最重要的技術(shù)參數(shù)是轉(zhuǎn)換精度,它通常情況下用輸出數(shù)字信號(hào)的位數(shù)來表述。轉(zhuǎn)換器能精準(zhǔn)輸出的數(shù)字信號(hào)越多,轉(zhuǎn)換器識(shí)別輸入信號(hào)的工作能力就越強(qiáng),變換器的性能指標(biāo)就越好。
A/D轉(zhuǎn)換通常情況下經(jīng)過采樣、保持、量化和編碼四個(gè)過程。在實(shí)際情況電路中,采樣和保持、量化和編碼是在轉(zhuǎn)換過程中同時(shí)實(shí)現(xiàn)的。
